- Video resolution is much higher than clips from other video sites, including YouTube;
- Joost player requires at least 512M RAM, and high-speed internet connection;
- The quality looks very good on LCD TV.
After 30 minutes playing Joost, however, I stopped. There simply is not many fun channels to watch. Joost contents are not powered by users, but fed by media companies. It is more like a traditional cable company. I can spend an hour on YouTube to watch all these fun clips made by users like you and me. My conclusion is: Joost won't replace YouTube.
Who needs Joost? I think if Joost can let TV viewers watch YouTube like watching CNN on his/her TVs, it would be a killer application. Let's have Joost on TiVo, on XBox 360, on WII, on PS3, and plays YouTube and whatever other fun clips from internet. I'd love it!
